Photography
I've recently engaged in a little bit of amateur photography. The bulk
of which has been for personal stuff (family, friends, and the like), but
some of it has actually made it to publications such as
The
'Toban (the
University of
Manitoba's
newspaper), and The Uniter (the University
of Winnipeg's newspaper). Here are a few of the published pictures:
Music
This
year,
I bought myself a used electric guitar (previously owned by Aaron Funk,
of the
Venetian Snares). In the summer of 2002, I pickep myself up an acoustic
guitar,
and had been trying to teach myself how to play. Previous to that, I had
a few
years of Piano (Royal
Conservatory
of Music), trumpet throughout my Junior High and High School years,
and
choir for the last three years of High School (as a tenor).
- Candy Apple Red Squier SD6
G (by Fender)
Full
Sized Dreadnought Non-Cutaway Acoustic Guitar (Model: DG-6GP CAR which
I would
describe more as Metalic Red)
- Red Ibanez EX140 Electric guitar: Strat copy with humbucker in the
bridge
position, and two single coil pickups. Take a look at IbanezRegister.com
for other Ibanez guitars, as well as my
listing.
- I also bought a practice bass amp at the same time; The Matrix MA30B
Bass
Amp, a 15 watt RMS (root mean squared) with an 8" heavy-duty
speaker,
which was originally built by Kaman
Music. Unfortunately, there's no real mention of the Matrix line
of amps
on Kaman's website, other than on their warranty page under the
heading "Electronics".
Take a look at this rather favourable review
of the amp.
- Next I got an El Degas 12-string guitar.
- Now I'm up to four guitars with my new Jay Turser
Bass Guitar. It's supposedly a custom made 4-String bass. It's got a
nice wood-grain body (clear coat) and a single humbucker pickup. The
guy I bought it from also had a Crate Amp
(the Crate BX15), so I bought that as well.
Websites and System Administration
I've been invovled with systems administration and website maintenance
of quite
a few little organizations throughout the years. Here's a list:
